Prosperity Director John Manuel has been listed among Australia’s top 50 financial advisers for the second year by Barron’s, a prestigious US based financial publication.
John Manuel a Director of Prosperity Advisers was ranked in 45th position. With 31 new entrants in the tables, only 19 advisers held their rankings for a second year – this is a fantastic achievement. In speaking about the recognition, John Manuel says, “Our clients are dynamic. They are attracted to us due to our willingness to understand their financial needs intimately and to deliver tailored, strategic and ongoing advice.”
Gavin Fernando, Director Financial Services at Prosperity Advisers says, “This list celebrates the leaders in the financial advice sector and we are very proud to have one of our advisers listed among a pool of very high calibre personal financial experts. John is one of the best of the best and this recognition builds on the feedback we regularly receive from his clients about the positive experience of working with him.”
The purpose in undertaking to rank Australia’s top financial advisers is twofold, to provide the market with a selection of quality advisers and to establish a benchmark for a high standard of client care that all advisers can emulate.
About undertaking the survey, the organisers of the list, Barron’s says, “Primarily, the Top 50 Financial Advisers list is designed for you, the reader, to help you find a financial adviser who best suits your needs.” Furthermore, “The financial advice sector is under intense scrutiny thanks to the royal commission. But the upshot is that the best operators will be more sought after than ever”.
The survey comprises over 70 questions where Barron’s then applies its ranking formula to generate the numbers. There are three key categories of data: assets under management, revenue and quality of practice. Key variables in the survey include fees, qualifications, length of time in the industry, regulatory track history, and charitable and philanthropic work.
“At Prosperity we firmly believe that reaching your financial goals may not always mean making more money, but rather making smart decisions with what you have”, says Fernando.
Newcastle based Prosperity Advisers employs over 150 staff throughout its Newcastle, Sydney and Brisbane offices and has over $700 million in funds under management.
The Directors and staff at Prosperity congratulate John for achieving this remarkable recognition!
